robinsons Brewery: post LOCKDOWN RE-OPENINGS. 2020

Once the Covid-19 UK lockdown was lifted and the hospitality industry was allowed to begin trading again in July 2020. I was approached by The Rising Sun to create a video that would outline the different measures in place around the pub suck as one way systems. I sat down with the manager and we discussed what he wanted the video to contain, we decided if we were to have him appear on camera and make the video more of a PSA, it would help get the seriousness and importance of the videos content across. Once published it became their most engaged post on their social media pages.

The video then caught the eye of the executives in the Brewery. I was commissioned by them to create a similar video for one of their newly refurbished locations that was due to open within the next few weeks. For this I sat down with the area manager and we discussed how to best showcase the refurbishment. We decided that mainly cinematic shots using a slider would achieve the desired effect. The video achieved exactly its purpose and both videos are currently the breweries most enaged with and viewed videos.

 

rising Sun Christmas Video 2019

Being familiar with my work for the previous manager, the new manager of the Rising Sun, Tarporley commissioned me to create a short video to be released during the Christmas period to thank the customers for their continued support. The brief was to be short, but to promote the best features of the business. I brainstormed some ideas and shots, which got the managers vision and filmed the video over the course of a few mornings before the pub was open to the public. The video got 3000 views in the week it was published and was to at that time, their most engaged post on their social media accounts.

Tarp-Fest 2018

Tarp-Fest was a 3 day village wide food and entertainments festival in Tarporley, Cheshire.

I was commissioned by the manager of a pub/restaurant, to create a video per day, to showcase the music and performances of the live artists playing at the The Rising Sun pub.

The videos were uploaded to the establishments Facebook page and have to date, over 4000 views between them.

 

AberYSTWYTH Snow SPORTS 2016-18

Whilst at Aberystwyth University, I was asked to create a number of promotional videos for the universities snow sports club in order to promote their various activities to a larger audience, these varied from filming their race team training to promoting their yearly Ski Tour along with other escapades.

 

RoozaFest 2016

'RoozaFest' was a surprise wedding video for the family and friends of a couple under the illusion it was a charity fundraising event for their ill son. They invited their close family and friends to a 'Charity Fun Day' that was then revealed to be their Wedding Day. I was given full creative control over the filming and editing of the project with the only instructions given to make it 'Special'. The Film was distributed among the family and friends who were not able to attend, along with a full video of the wedding ceremony.

 

The Cheshire Jail Break 2015

After the success of the first year event, I was invited back to produce another trailer for The Cheshire Jailbreak, The project brief remained the same as the previous year, I followed a similar format, however made sure to use new clips and attempted to create content with a higher production value and edit more to the music beats in the song.

The Aim was to create 3 Videos, The First 2 would serve as teaser trailers that would be released before the main promotional trailer.

 

 

The Cheshire Jail Break 2014

The Cheshire Jailbreak was an event based in Warrington, Cheshire. The aim was for a team of 4 people or less to travel the furthest distance without spending any money, solely relying on donations during the 10 hour time limit.

The Brief for the project was to create 2 short videos, One that used famous scenes from Prison Break films to promote the Charity event, Incorporating a small amount of information about the event itself. The second was to recap the event 2 months later, with Images from the event and the amount of money raised at the time of release.

To date, the videos have over 10,000 Views on the platforms Facebook and YouTube.
